College Planning

Entering high school is the best time for students to begin planning for their college years. 

Mrs. Jill McDermott, our College and Career Director, looks forward to spending time with each student to discuss his or her college plans. 

The ACT is one of the standardized achievement tests for college admissions in the United States. 

Below are some useful links to assist students as they plan and prepare to take their ACT this 2008-2009 school year.

Test Dates          Beginning September 13 through June 13, 2009.
Fees Includes basic registration fees as well as fees for additonal services (5th & 6th college choices, test center changes, test date changes, etc.)
Registration Use the fast and easy on-line registration process.
Serices for Students with Disabilities Be sure to follow this process to request the necessary accommodations.
Preparing for the ACT An 80 page PDF booklet that includes full length practice tests, information about the writing test, strategies to prepare for the test, and what to expect on the test day.
Test Descriptions
Lists the content areas, the number of questions, and length of test time allowed.
Sample Test Questions Practice questions to help students familarize themselves with the ACT questions.
